TERMS & CONDITIONS

General

  1. All clients will be deemed to have accepted Sarah’s Dog Walkers terms and conditions - as laid out here – upon signing the dog walking permission form at the commencement of our services.

  2. The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred. We are not liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst undergoing walking or pet sitting services with Sarah’s Dog Walkers. We cannot be held responsible and all fees must be paid by you, the owner, if required.

  3. Although we hold Public Liability insurance, it is highly recommended you insure your dog. Sarah’s Dog Walkers reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

  4. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm control regime. We recommend vaccination for Kennel Cough and cannot be held liable for any illness that may occur. You must provide the vaccination booklet at the start of any services provided by Sarah’s Dog Walkers.

  5. You hereby agree, irrevocably and for no royalties or other compensation, to all and any use by Sarah’s Dog Walkers of any photos, videos or audio recordings taken during walks for the purpose of marketing on our company website, social media pages or for the purpose of demonstration videos, tutorials or other educational or informational material as may be produced and marketed from time to time. You understand that such material may be edited and used in whole or in part and displayed on the internet or made public for the purpose of promoting Sarah’s Dog Walkers.

  6. If I or any employee/sub-contractor of Sarah’s Dog Walkers fall ill or are unable to carry out our usual duties as dog walkers and pet sitters, no guaranteed replacement is available. However, where possible we will endeavour to cover any work to the best of our ability.

Group Walking, Solo Walks, Pet Sitting & Transportation

  1. Sarah’s Dog Walkers will not confirm any booking until a no-obligation consultation has been carried out with the client, and the contract - with full details of client requirements - has been signed by the client.

  2. The client must provide all items necessary for pets to be adequately cared for in the client's absence (i.e. food, medication, leads, tags, collars, cat litter etc). Should pets require any additional supplies whilst in the care of Sarah’s Dog Walkers, these will be purchased and subsequently charged to the client.

  3. If it is necessary for keys to be picked up or dropped off in order to complete an assignment, charges will be applied for each trip at 45p per mile.

  4. The client must provide Sarah’s Dog Walkers with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the pet(s) in an emergency (pet guardian) if you are out of area. If the contact is not available, we reserve the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of your pet.

  5. All dogs being walked will undergo a trial period to ensure that they are adequately trained and socialised. Sarah’s Dog Walkers reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time and with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker/s, travel and/or other dogs.

  6. All dogs will be exercised on a lead unless prior written agreement has been reached between Sarah’s Dog Walkers and the client, giving Sarah’s Dog Walkers permission to walk the dog off lead. If permission has been given for off-lead dog walking, the client accepts full responsibility for any problems that may arise whilst the dog is off-lead, including off-lead attacks, off-lead injury and going missing. Sarah’s Dog Walkers recommends ongoing recall training for all dogs as a safety precaution.

  7. The walker/s will apply personal judgement and cut short a walk if necessary, due to extreme weather conditions (ie, heat, thunder storms) for the safety of both the dogs and the walker. If possible, the walk time will be changed to accommodate the circumstances.

  8. If dogs require a quick towelling off after walks, towels must be provided and left by the front door. If no towel is provided, your pet will be left possibly wet and/or muddy, although Sarah’s Dog Walkers are happy to confine dogs if instructed to. If no towel is left out, the client accepts responsibility for any damp or mud created inside the home after a walk.

  9. Dog walks will be for the duration of the time agreed between Sarah’s Dog Walkers and the client, ranging from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. For group walks, the client should expect the dog to be out for longer than this with travel included. For solo walks, travel is included within the time period if it is necessary to take the dog to another location.

  10. Sarah’s Dog Walkers will make adequate steps to ensure your home is safe and secure in your absence, however we cannot be held responsible for burglaries, or any accidents caused by your pet(s).

  11. Any owner wishing to accompany Sarah’s Dog Walkers whilst an animal is being transported accepts that they do so at their own risk and that Sarah’s Dog Walkers does not accept any liability for any accident, injury or delay incurred during transportation.

  12. The client agrees to provide Sarah’s Dog Walkers with access to their home if not in, including provision of a key or passcode. In the event of a key being lost, stolen or damaged, Sarah’s Dog Walkers agrees to reimburse the cost of the key cutting and is fully covered by insurance.
